Bedok Town Secondary School held its 42nd Speech and Prize Giving Day on Friday 16 April 2010. The theme - ‘Together We Create Our Future’ - was a significant expression as our school looks forward to a brighter future with each passing year. Through the theme, we set the stage to build a cohesive, strong and vibrant presence in our community.

This year’s event was especially significant as we come closer to the date of the impending merger with Chai Chee Secondary School in 2011. Collaboration between Bedok Town and Chai Chee was set in motion with the joint participation of the Chair Chee Secondary School Choir and Modern Dance Group. They were well-received by their counterparts in Bedok Town.

Speech Day this year was also celebrated in conjunction with International Friendship Day. It was an occasion to highlight the school’s internationalisation efforts. Exhibitions booths were set up to showcase the students’ overseas learning journeys and overseas community involvement programmes that help develop them into global citizens of tomorrow. Our international students presented an item that spoke the message of international peace and friendship. The staff, however, took the limelight as they came in their best outfits to show off the unique identity of the countries of the world.
