Instructional Programme

Despite its small size, the department’s strength lies in its consistent track record of achieving 100% subject passes in the national exams.

With its emphasis on academic excellence, the department organizes enriching curricular and co-curricular programmes that expose students to a wide variety of experiences. Some of these include Language Camps, Debating and Oratorical Activities, Essay Writing, Drama and Poem Recital, Public Speaking and Outdoor Education Experience.

The department is also active in cluster activities which foster collaboration between schools and among Tamil Language teachers. Students and teachers can look forward to exchange activities and combined workshops to increase their language skills and competence. The main highlight is the Teachers Exchange Exams Workshop for graduating students from cluster schools.

The department also contributes actively to school Assembly Programmes, New Year Celebrations, Mother Tongue Languages Week and special observances in conjunction with NE events.
