Brief History

Bedok Town Secondary School started as Kaki Bukit Secondary School from 1965 to 1984.

It was once the top Malay medium school in Singapore. On 1 September 1984, staff and pupils were moved to new premises and the school was renamed Bedok Town Secondary School. The new school was officially opened on 21 August 1986 by Mr Yatiman Yusof, Parliamentary Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Mr Md Yusuf bin Zuhri continued to be Principal of the new school from 1984 to 1992. He was succeeded by Mrs Goh Thong Kheng until 14 December 1997, followed by Mr Koh Boon Long from 15 December 1997 to 2001. Ms Priscilla KremplĀ  assumed principalship from January 2002 to December 2007. Our current Principal, Mdm Jennifer Tan Siew Woon, took over in January 2008.
