Instructional Programme

Computer Applications (CPA) is a skills-based subject offered to Normal Technical classes from Secondary 1 to Secondary 4. The subject seeks to enable students to operate and take care of a microcomputer system and common peripherals. In BTSS, the lessons are also structured to help students to understand basic hardware and software operation principles.

To engage students in authentic learning experiences, teachers select, teach and use appropriate generic software and design projects tasks in word processing, desktop publishing, multimedia presentation, graphics and product design.

The modules also enable students to recognise everyday situations which involve the use of computers We endeavour to impart to our students knowledge and skills in computer technology that is current, relevant and applicable at work, in the home and community.
